About Agni Zotis:
My paintings are the construction of time and space through color and form. They are borne out of the analysis and decoding of thought were the self is defined. I am interested in the human experience and conditioning, transformation and evolution of the self. The paintings are modern social emotional landscapes were I record the process of my physical and metaphysical being. I am intrigued by reality, the self, the abyss of existence and it's infinite possibilities—Organizing chaos in the abstract possibilities of thought.
Painting is magical, as an alchemist, I mix pigments and stones with various mediums, where the density and consistency is a respond to the emotional state. Layering, building with precision, pure color, gold leafs, oils, and sometimes phosphorous were the image transforms with the change of the light. This represents the unseen force. The duality in nature. I work on series that depicts a theme and I explore all the possibilities within that concept.
I am a storyteller of physics and philosophy where shapes and pigments become vessels for interpretation. Painting is a meditative journey, it allows for the rawness and freedom of the emotions and the discipline and precision of the intellect. It is an investigation on will, faith and destine where the microcosm merges with the macrocosm all in an effort to gain universal consciousness.

VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN >
At least one out of every three women around the world has been beaten, coerced into sex, or otherwise abused in her lifetime — with the abuser usually someone known to her. Violence against women and girls is a universal problem of epidemic proportions.

V-Day's 2007 theme Reclaiming Peace seeks to make the connection between the worldwide anti-violence work of V-Day activists with our collective desire for peace and an end to armed conflicts. “We are saying that if a government supports the use of force, weapons, violence as a method of control and dominance, this models and gives license to the same kind of behavior at home,” stated V-Day Founder/Artistic Director Eve Ensler.
