MARLA PETRULLO Vagina Festival Supporter: I think it is a worthy cause. We are fortunate here in America as women to have the right to express ourselves, to say whatever we want to say. Yet still women are abused regularly. I wanted to be part of something bigger than myself. Give all women a voice through the Vagina Festival. This is an opportunity for women to come together and support each other. About Marla Petrullo: I am a modest person who works hard at a wholesale Balloon Company. I have a new puppy who takes up most of my time. I enjoy my husband's cooking and dining out. I like going online, playing games, playing darts and meeting new people. Violence against women and girls is a universal problem of epidemic proportions. V-Day's 2007 theme Reclaiming Peace seeks to make the connection between the worldwide anti-violence work of V-Day activists with our collective desire for peace and an end to armed conflicts. “We are saying that if a government supports the use of force, weapons, violence as a method of control and dominance, this models and gives license to the same kind of behavior at home,” stated V-Day Founder/Artistic Director Eve Ensler.
