Presenting:
Slick Rick

On participating in Vagina Festival 2008:
"Slick Rick" is a comedy about exploring sexual taboos and personal boundaries. After meeting on Match.com, Rick invites Virginia over to his place for a dinner date. Throughout the evening, Virginia uncovers clues that lead her to believe that Rick is into a lot more than her standard ideal of sex. While this piece is humorous, it also examines how women feel about sexuality, especially in the self-questioning of what makes us "prudes" or "kinky," and asks what is so bad about being either. It also explores the unnerving aspects of dating, especially when entering the homes and worlds of strangers in search of companionship. My hope is that this piece will make the audience think about their own bizarre encounters with dating, their own sexuality and boundaries, and their own definitions of "how weird is too weird," all while laughing a lot. Out loud please.

About Nicole Pandolfo:
Nicole Pandolfo graduated from New York University in 2006 with a B.A. in Metropolitan Studies, which she will put to use later during her philanthropic period. In the meantime she is an actress and playwright who lives and works in New York City. She currently studies at HB Studio under Julie McKee and Austin Pendleton. She is from New Jersey and does not understand anti-Jersey sentiments. She thinks meeting Cher and playing her in a movie would be the tops. Most importantly, she thanks her mother, family and friends, and everyone with the Vagina Festival for their love and support.
