Suzanne Harvin Play Presenting: NAKED On participating in Vagina Festival 2008: "NAKED" is a theatrical production that's set in a gynecologist office on the anniversary of September 11th. Eight women from different journey's of life arrive at the office for an array of reasons. While waiting for the doctor to arrive ( with "no filters" ) these women end up expressing themselves and sharing their stories. NAKED is an exploration of the human spirit. It provokes thought about issues that touch women's lives. It challenges female stereotypes and celebrates our unique experiences and voices. About Suzanne Harvin: As both an actress and self-proclaimed activist, I know how important my voice and ears are. I've always tried to fine-tune my senses, so that I can genuinely understand people's journeys and experiences. I always knew that my mission was not only to reflect truth in my writing and on stage, but to illuminate the stories of the muted and the marginalised. Whether its through acting, writing, photography, or filmmaking, I have always wanted to raise the consciousness of people. NAKED has allowed me to showcase the beauty of 9 women on stage from all walks of life. Their voices entered my heart; providing me with inspiration and hope. Women embody the ability to be NAKED in any setting and its incredible to watch and witness.
